By land: Playa Grande is a four and a half hour drive on the Pan American highway from San José. You can rent a car, or take a taxi or (shuttle)bus.
By air: Several commuter flights as well as private charters connect San Jose to Tamarindo daily in 40 minutes. The Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia, with several international flights a week, is only 45 minutes from Hotel Villa Baula.
By sea: The Flamingo Marina is 30 minutes from Hotel Villa Baula.
